Smiary provides users with the ability to quickly draft a SMS message which can then be sent to unknown contacts by entering a mobile telephone number. Users can also enter known contacts by entering the contacts name or number. The Simple SMS Messaging feature further allows a user to add multiple recipients to the SMS. SMS messages can span across a maximum of 4 standard SMS message lengths.
Smiary allows a user to capture all his/her SMS messages on an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet allows the user to capture additional fields which will assist the user in populating already created templates. This is great for automatically personalising SMS messages with a the contacts name. The Batch SMS Messaging feature allows a user to enter the maximum number of credits that can be utilised for a message and provides a warning if this limit is exceeded. Smiary does error checking of each message as the message is uploaded and provides the user with an option to rectify any error's or warnings.
SMS Messages can be scheduled to be sent in future. This feature is supported under the Simple Messaging capability as well as the Batch SMS Messaging capability. Messages are queued until the time of delivery has arrived at which time they are processed and delivered. Smiary is generally accurate to within 5 minutes of the specified delivery time subject to the contacts GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) availability.
Delivery reports are available for each SMS the user has sent. The delivery report indicates whether the message has been delivered or not and provides the exact date and time a message was delivered.
Smiary supports multiple SMS accounts per business. We understand that many practitioners may be part of a larger business but require the capability to track and pay for the SMS messages they use. Smiary allows for this by allowing practitioners to have their own SMS account. Business that do not want to make use of this feature may utilise a default dedicated account.
Smiary enables users to create SMS template messages. These template messages can be utilised with the Batch SMS Messaging capability and allows a user to simply select a SMS template and then entering the minimum data to personalise and send the SMS message. The SMS Templates feature is also used to customise appointment reminder SMS's.
